We have a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join Council’s Building Construction Unit. As a Trainee reporting to the Coordinator Building Construction, you will be responsible for providing necessary technical support in planning, design, investigation, asset management and project delivery for Council’s building assets.

This role would be ideal for a student currently completing a Diploma or Bachelor of Building, Project Management, Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering at an accredited University or TAFE College.

In addition, assistance will be provided with course fees and flexibility of working hours to attend lectures and exams which will be provided in accordance with Council’s Learning and Development Program.

The successful applicant will have:

- Communication and organisational skills including the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- The ability to work as part of a team and with motivation
- Demonstrated reliability
- Presentation skills including the ability to write reports with photographs and grant charts; and
- The ability to problem solve and think innovatively.

Salary will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience, and competencies of the successful applicant.
