Seeking our next Support Squad Superstar

Like us, your driving force for getting out of bed each morning is to make a difference in lives and challenge the stigma around disability and mental illness.

You will be tasked with assisting people with disability alongside their family or carers to strengthen their capability to implement, and bring their NDIS plan to life. You will ideally have experience working in a role which supports / cares for people, but not necessarily in the role of a NDIS coordinator, as we will provide extensive training and mold you to the role, support squad styleYou will be promoting the development of meaningful relationships, capacity building, independent living skills and general goal kicking

This role demands the creativity, flexibility, sector knowledge and a drive to make a positive impact in the lives of others. You will be bubbly and fun in personality, have the ability to engage clients, as well as the smarts to work closely with participants in environments of their choice to achieve their aspirations and goals. This includes but is not limited to; assisting people to source and assess support options and connect with services coordinate services; implement, monitor and manage their NDIS plan; build skills and confidence respond and deal with any crisis; ensure goals are met; and, report outcomes to the NDIS and re-develop goals prior to plan review.

Total remuneration package: approx. $75,000 p.a (minimum SCHADS Level 3.1, depending on experience and qualifications).

Applicants for this position must possess the following:

- New Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain)
- Worker Orientation Module (or willingness to obtain)
- Current and unrestricted drivers license

Desireable:

- Relevant Certificate III Mental Health / Disability Qualifications OR sector experience
- Knowledge of the NDIS and person centered support provision
- Experience working to support person with a disability to lead a fulfilling and more independent life
- Exceptional organisation skills and a client focused approach
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $65,677.07 - $85,000.00 per year
