ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Team Lead, the Compliance/Audit Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance across Port Philip Prison with all business units as dictated by current Operational Instructions, policies, procedures and relevant quality systems. This role is an on-site position, meaning you will be working at Port Phillip Prison to complete audits.
RESPONSIBILITIES

**The core responsibilities of this role are to**:

- Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
- Act as an authorized signatory as necessary.
- Recommend changes to the internal Audit schedule to reflect risk status and changing management priorities
- Completes audit reports by documenting audit assessments and findings
- Carry out other tasks as directed by the Team Lead and Quality, Risk & Compliance Manager.

**The essential requirements from you**:

- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Quality Assurance processes.
- Demonstrated auditing experience or willing to learn.
- Excellent report writing and written communication skills.
- Strong resilient nature to deliver constructive support on a daily basis.
- Ability to show resilience in a highly pressurised environment.
