**The Role**
The Web CMS Product Owner leads a team of web developers to create user experiences in the Defence public and intranet web environments, building organisational capability in front-end web development. They manage work-in-progress, and prioritise the web development backlog, in order to ensure the efficient delivery of effective web technology solutions.
The Product Owner will provide strategic purpose and direction in web functionality and development solutions. They will contribute their knowledge and experience to steer and implement change in the Defence web environment, facilitating internal and external cooperation and partnerships that engender a culture of continuous improvement.
**About our Team**
Enterprise Web is in the Enterprise Transformation Branch in the Enterprise Transformation and Governance Division. Enterprise Web is a team of web experts, including web designers and developers, web content and audience engagement strategists, and web content publishers.
The team works collaboratively and with a mindset of continuous improvement to optimise the user experience of Defence websites and support efficient delivery of web communication
The Web CMS Product Owner will be a confident leader of people, capable of managing difficulties, celebrating successes and building a culture of inclusion and respect with their team.
They will have a passion for web development, content management and a commitment to web standards and learning new web technologies. They will be focused on providing exceptional user experience and efficient technology solutions in a complex distributed content ownership model.
The Product Owner provides strategic and operational leadership for the immense Defence enterprise web environment. By engaging in agile work management practices, monitoring and mitigating risk, committing to action and leading by example, they have the opportunity to positively impact both the internal and external Defence web environment.
