The Water Group is currently seeking to appoint a **Principal Water Resource Analyst **in a full-time capacity for a fixed term to Feb 2026, with the possibility of extension. We are also open to expressions of interest from those with a part-time work capacity.

**About You**

Provide high level specialist technical expertise, knowledge and advice to support NSW decision making and obligations relating to water management of the Snowy hydro scheme and its interface with downstream water resources. This includes expertise in: Snowy scheme water operations; water resource management of the Snowy, Murray and Murrumbidgee systems; and the relevant legislative framework.

Key accountabilities include:

- Leads the annual review and approval process of Snowy Hydro’s Annual Water Operations Plan.
- Lead technical intergovernmental working groups to address, negotiate and resolve complex technical issues.
- Represent and advocate for NSW’s water resource rights under instruments governing water sharing arrangements and obligations.

**Knowledge & Experience**
- Extensive knowledge of and experience in conducting complex water resource investigations, analysis and decision making.

**Essential Requirements**
- Degree in hydrology, hydraulic engineering, natural resources, relevant applied sciences or related discipline.
