We have an exciting new role available to join our Paper and Recycling division in Dry Creek, South Australia as an Account Manager.

Opal Paper and Recycling is one of Australia’s largest cardboard recycling operations collecting approximately 600,000 tonnes of mostly Old Corrugated Containers (OCC) annually which is used to produce 100% recycled corrugated packaging board. As one of Australia’s leading packaging and recycling companies.

This role is a customer facing role managing a portfolio of existing accounts as well as focusing on generating leads to contractually secure new Suppliers of Cardboard and Paper recyclables.

You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

- To sell diversion to Landfill solutions to add value to Opal accounts as well as growing additional revenue and profit streams.
- Look for opportunities for Cross Divisional Selling and coordination of leads to other Opal businesses (Packaging, bags, shrink wrap, archive boxes etc.)
- Engage in quarterly business reviews to ensure service levels are being met and explore opportunities for business growth.
- Use business reporting data to assess trends (declines and increases volumes and pricing) and discuss such variances with the customer and Business Manager. Take corrective actions necessary arising from such variances.

Specifically for this role, we expect you will have;
- Sales experience (preferably in waste and recycling management)
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- A proven track record of delivering results and ensuring key objectives are met
- A collaborative approach which will foster strong working relationships across internal teams to deliver the best result for the customer
- Experience in cold calling
