The Business Development Executive identifies and pursues new growth opportunities, builds client relationships, and drives revenue by positioning the company as a preferred partner. They focus on strategic outreach and long-term client engagement to achieve sales goals and expand market presence.

- Actively target and secure new business opportunities across all market segments
- Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers to position Sofitel as the preferred venue
- Consistently achieve or exceed set KPIs and sales targets
- Proactively generate and qualify leads for conversion
- Maximize revenue by showcasing exceptional selling abilities and understanding client needs
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the Hotel's goals are met
- Represent Sofitel Gold Coast at key industry events and networking to enhance brand visibility and drive business

**Qualifications** What you will bring to the role**:

- A luxury attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a high EQ are essential to succeed in this competitive industry
- You are a self-motivated sales professional with a proven track record in outbound sales and business development
- Deep understanding of market segments relevant to luxury hotels, including corporate, events, meetings, and group sales
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with excellent relationship management
- Experience with outbound sales, including face-to-face meetings, networking, and trade events
- Willingness to work varying hours and travel within the region for client meetings, field sales calls and events
- Knowledge and ability to operate Opera Cloud Software and various CRM systems
