**Job Description**:
Pedestrian Group (Winner - Publishing Company of the Year, Mumbrella Publish Awards 2021) is on the lookout for a gun Entertainment Reporter with strong multimedia skills to join the PEDESTRIAN.TV team and give us a hand creating that spicy content you know and love.

Reporting to the Head of Editorial and the Managing Editor, your role will be to help curate spicy entertainment content for PTV.

This person will be a pop culture obsessive who is plugged into everything entertainment - from reality TV to local and international celebrity news, with an eagle eye for local influencers who put their foot in it.

We’re looking for someone who can sniff out original stories and scoops, has an entertainment industry contact list fit to burst and can confidently interview A-list celebs both on and off camera.

**Qualifications**:
You will understand and be able to execute the PEDESTRIAN.TV tone across written and video content, have a ripping sense of humour, be able to work independently, and be ready to hit the ground running in our fast-paced yet supportive and collaborative newsroom.
- Has a Bachelor’s degree in media, communications, or journalism (preferred but not mandatory)
- Has previous years experience working the entertainment beat in a fast-paced newsroom
- Has proven experience and success producing Tiktoks / Reels to tell stories
- Can confidently pitch content and write for P.TV’s 18-34 audience, with a keen news sense of what young Aussies care about
- Has their finger on the pulse of online conversation, from what’s popping off on TikTok to the biggest Deuxmoi story of the day
- Has a unique tone of voice or point of view
- Isn’t afraid to pick up the phone in pursuit of a cracking yarn (remember phones??)
- Has experience in optimising stories for SEO
- Has experience editing video (preferred but not required)
- Has experience posting to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter business pages

The role is a full-time position and is based out of Pedestrian Group’s offices in either Sydney and Melbourne.
