**Your new role**
Australia’s $2.7 trillion superannuation industry is facing into a shifting landscape influenced by increased regulatory pressures, disruptive technologies, changes in demographics and ever-changing member expectations. It is critical that we understand and address these forces of change and are also able to adapt at a faster pace to respond to new challenges and capitalise on new opportunities.
The Analyst Obligations Management reports to the Manager, Obligations Management, which is a key team in the Compliance and Risk team in Fund Services, and interfaces with colleagues within Compliance and Risk and across the Fund.
**What you’ll be doing
- Triaging of new or updated obligations from a range of information sources including, but not limited to LexisNexis regulatory alert service and updates from regulatory advisors such as law firms and compliance firms to determine the applicability and impact to AustralianSuper
- Assign potential ownership of the obligations to the relevant Line 1 Compliance and Risk colleagues
- Work with the Line 1 to monitor their responses to the obligation and ensure obligation owners are assigned.
- Maintain the Obligations Register held on the Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) system
- Produce relevant dashboard reporting and commentary from a range of regulatory change information sources
- Assist to manage the service providers (eg LexisNexis) in relation to the provision of obligations content and alerts.
- Build an understanding of the AustralianSuper business and teams to align the obligations to the correct areas.
**What you’ll need**
- 2-3 years experience, ideally in Obligations or Regulatory change
- If no direct experience then knowledge of the superannuation industry and applicable obligations
- Ability to plan, prioritise and manage time to achieve financial/other project objectives.
- Ability to work well in a small team to develop improvements to processes, with inputs and support from a range of interested parties.
- Competent communicator with the ability to influence others.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyse complex information to identify the key issue/action and drive resolution.
- Developing presentation skills for working alongside the management and senior leaders for presentation at Senior Management level.
- Developing stakeholder management skills
