**Your new role**:
By joining our Casual pool of Support Workers to deliver NDIS services in
**Inner West Sydney,** you will help participants to gain independence and confidence in all aspects of their life The role has a strong focus (but is not limited to) engaging participants in the community. Support Workers will engage with participants and support them with their individualised plans and goals. This may include building connections within the community; assisting the person to attend a community event; identifying job interests, exploring work through supported voluntary work placements and learning to use public transport.
**What we are looking for**:
- Demonstrated experience working with young people with a disability either in a professional environment or may be demonstrated through non-professional means or life experience;
- A sound understanding of disability and the effect on social relationships, independent living, daily needs, physical health, vocational and employment needs of these clients;
- Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal, as well as negotiation and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to identify, organise and utilise relevant resources effectively;
- Ability to function as a constructive and collaborative member of a small cohesive team;
- Demonstrates qualities of empathy, compassion and integrity;
- Possess a current driver's license and own transport.

- Accessing Community, Social and Recreational Activities
- Capacity Building in Life and Employment
- School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES)
