**About this opportunity**:
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Associate Product Designer to join our Product team. The Product team is responsible for designing and delivering the digital experience for Driva’s customers, agents and partners. As an Associate Product Designer, you’ll create pixel-perfect designs and flows with the Senior Product Designer, and when the opportunity presents itself, on your own, in collaboration with Product Managers and Engineers to deliver the best experience for our users.

As a junior member of our team, you will be mentored and guided by the Senior Product Designer, who will structure and support your on-going learning and development within the company, and in design practice more broadly.

This is a permanent full time role based out of our Surry Hills office in Sydney. For the first 3 months you will be based predominantly in the office, the long term work schedule for this role is 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home.

The right person for Driva will be a creative problem-solver, who skews UI design, but is looking to grow their experience in Product design and UX methodologies. You have an eye for detail and deliver pixel perfect designs that bring experiences and interactions to life for users. You’re able to think critically and deep dive into a problem or opportunity, with curiosity and consideration before you design the right solution. Areas where you lack experience, you will make up for in energy and a positive attitude towards learning and development. You have a portfolio that demonstrates your experience and understanding of design thinking, UI patterns and interactions, and digital experiences.

- Deliver innovative ideas that address customer needs and business goals
- Carry out research and design activities, such as: interviewing, brainstorming, sketching, prototyping, testing, and workshopping

**More about you**:

- Hungry to grow and develop, you enjoy being challenged bringing tonne of enthusiasm and enjoy working proactively
- Completed a degree or studies with a focus on design
- 1+ years experience in product design, UI design, or design-related industry
- Working knowledge of tools including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong understanding of design practices for mobile and web
- Ability to build component libraries and desire to create design system
- Ability to work closely with developers, and deliver seamless UI handover
- An understanding of design thinking and human-centred design
- Experience in, or a desire to practice, customer research methodologies
- Experience working with a cross-functional, collaborative, agile team
- Ability to work across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to plan design activities and manage stakeholder relationships
- Willingness to improve skills through doing, mentoring and growth mindset
