We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and accurate Finance Assistant / Specialist to join our team full time at Holiday Inn Sydney Airport and will also support the team at Crowne Plaza Sydney Darling Harbour.

**Your day to day**
As our Finance Assistant / Specialist, you will support the Manager of Finance and Business Support with the day-to-day financial operations of the hotel.

You will be responsible for the smooth operating of the Hotel's Accounts Payable & Receivable as well as have some exposure to Payroll. You'll uphold IHG standards with contributions to internal controls and support a constant drive for continued improvement in financial performance whilst embedding high standards of guest satisfaction and employee engagement into your day-to-day interactions.

With contributions to hotel payments and revenue reporting, the role acts as the gatekeeper of the hotel’s financial transactions.

**What we need from you**
- Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce preferable
- Experience handling accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Experience working within the Hospitality Industry would be preferred
- Experience with Property Management Systems such as Opera is highly desirable
- High attention to detail, excellent communication and analytical skills
- Tech-savvy, able to adapt and learn new systems and software
- Managing multiple stakeholders is part of the role, so the ability to work collaboratively, as well as autonomously at times, is a must
- Rights to legally work full time in Australia
