Reporting into the HSE Manager you will be responsible for partnering with the contract and client within the Millmerran Powerstation Coal Ash Handling plant contract providing advice and support for compliance and operational excellence in Health, Safety and Environmental matters. In addition, you will work with the business and provide coaching and mentoring support as and when required in walkthroughs of the plant. This role is onsite and operational, and the successful individual will have strong knowlege/experience around HSE processes, identifying risks and is confident in highlighting and working through safe resolutions with a diverse range of people. We are looking for a May 2 start for this role on a 5 week contract, Monday to Friday at the Millmerran Power Station during the shutdown. This work will be 10.5 hours per day. Please note there is no accomodation provided, so Toowoomba/Dalby local will have to drive in and out for a LAHA on top of the daily rate of pay.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Relationship Management - Promote an organisational culture that empowers all personnel on Ventia and contractors to be involved in HSE matters and to pro-actively take action to reduce risk
- Project and Contract Planning - Provide on going HSE support to the contract during shutdown s and implementation of HSE plan throughout
- Project and Contract Support - Provide advice to support Contract Manager to ensure the effective implementation of HSE System during shutdown
- Continuous Improvement - Review HSE Performance and maintain an up to date knowledge of HSE Legislation and Regulations

Key deliverables include:

- Role modelling of the Ventia Values and HSE behaviours
- Completion of investigations within required timeframes
- Ensure a positive HSE culture within the shutdown project across employees and contractors (approx 50 staff onsite)

Skills & Experience

Other key attributes that are a must have include:

- Experience working withinIndustrial or Resources industry
- Cert 4, Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety
- Drivers Licence
