**How will I Help?**
Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) is part of Institutional Banking Services under the Group Operations division. Institutional Banking Services supports the Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) and we pride ourselves on being a business unit that is equipped to meet the ever-changing needs of the market, while remaining committed to our different customers, stakeholders and products.

The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst / Senior Analyst will be responsible for testing completed KYC files to ensure accurate completion in accordance with the internal and external KYC requirements. The QA Analyst / Senior Analyst will also be responsible for identifying deficiencies, their root causes and to create and/or provide active Knowledge Upskill sessions to KYC analysts (i.e., coaching, training, and guidance). The QA Analyst / Senior Analyst will also work closely with various stakeholders such as: the Financial Crime Compliance Team; Operations Teams and the Management Team.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Support the design and implementation of QA framework that adheres to AML/CFT operating guidance and the necessary regulatory standards
- Perform QA testing to ensure that KYC reviews have been accurately completed in accordance with the requirements
- Create or contribute to the production of training materials to address trends and findings and conduct the delivery of the training
- Develop and maintain Management Information (MI) reporting in accordance with business requirements and contribute to the production of accurate MI reports
- Provide active Knowledge Upskill sessions to KYC analysts i.e. coaching/training/guidance
- Manage the close interaction between the Operations teams to ensure seamless communication and consistency
- Identify opportunities to improve risk mitigation by tightening controls and/or procedures
- Provide support to the business for audit queries
- Embrace change initiatives and work with your colleagues to keep procedures updated and implement the change processes as seamlessly as possible
- Identify opportunities for system and process enhancements and work closely with Management to work through cost vs benefit analysis and delivery plan for implementation. Own the delivery where agreed.
- Ensure that operational risk practices are actively understood and complete all mandatory training e.g. Banking Code of Practice

**What do I need?**
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a confident and articulate communicator to clearly address training materials and requirements and to develop a close bond with your team and build a strong relationship with the key stakeholders. You will need to have a strong understanding of KYC/AML and have a analytical mindset to perform QA testings to ensure KYC reviews have been completed in a precise manner and assess QA reviews to implement strategies to upskill team members to achieve a higher performance.

A proven experience in a leadership role would be advantageous as you will be required to initiate change processes, improve risk mitigation, and support the implementation of QA frameworks to the team. A previous experience in KYC (Customer Onboarding and Ongoing Due Diligence) and Quality Assurance of the same is highly regarded.

**Skills and Experience required**:

- Degree qualification preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in KYC (Customer Onboarding and/or Ongoing Due Diligence)
- Previous experience in Quality Assurance role is preferred
- Strong understanding of KYC / AML, particularly in FI, Corporate and Funds
- Knowledge in the local jurisdictional KYC requirements
- Knowledge in other global jurisdictional KYC requirements advantageous
- Excellent focus on attention to detail with the ability to work and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical mindset
- Confident and articulate communicator
- Able to work independently and under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all organisational levels
- Energetic and motivated, able to work well inside a group and broadly across an organisation
