**Associate Director, Policy CL 11/12**

**Temporary (9 month) role - Sydney**

This role is a salary Grade 11/12, with the base salary for this role starting at $145,378 - $168,130 base plus superannuation, commensurate with experience.

This is a temporary position (parental leave cover) for approximately 9 months, commencing in February 2025 until October 2025.

**About the Role**

The Associate Director, Policy is responsible for managing the development, implementation and evaluation of a portfolio of policy initiatives, programs and activities for the Investor Assurance function to support the achievement of organisational objectives and NSW Government outcomes. Some of the key accountabilities for the role include:

- Lead research, analysis and review of complex policy issues, identifying emerging trends, and developing evidence-based strategies, to resolve problems and mitigate risks.
- Develop and implement strategies to monitor and evaluate policy initiatives ensure achievement of desired outcomes.
- Lead and facilitate stakeholder engagement, consultation and negotiation on policy issues develop solutions and support sound policy decisions.
- Prepare high quality written reports, briefs and correspondence, and cabinet documents to inform or respond to Agency and/or Government requests, including Cabinet submissions.
- Supporting in management of inputs to INSW budget, the INSW Corporate Risk Register and business plans.
- Review highly complex Cabinet proposals, project submissions or proposed initiatives, facilitate consultation and develop recommendations on their soundness and feasibility.
- Communicate effectively with senior executives across the sector and provide clear, accurate and timely written and verbal advice on wide-ranging issues.
- Maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders within and outside Infrastructure NSW, and lead and provide guidance to junior team members to deliver a range of initiatives, develop their capabilities and manage performance to deliver programs of work.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent relevant experience in a related discipline.
- Proven experience leading projects or policy development from concept to completion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, in particularly advanced in Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated analytical and pro-active problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent report writing, visual presentation design and verbal communication skills.
