**An exciting opportunity for a full time, ongoing Financial Planning and Analysis Manager - VPS 6**

The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager at EPA will lead the financial accounting, budgeting and reporting functions and provide expert and authoritative advice and support on complex issues. The role will focus on maximising efficiency and effectiveness in financial management, leading to a focus on best practice and implementation of improvement programs.

**About the Role**:

- You will lead and manage 3 Finance Business Partners and manage the allocation of resources, budgets, business and project planning and reporting
- Contribute to the overall operational strategy and direction of the organisation
- Develop and execute the EPA’s finance strategy, working closely with the Director, Business Strategy and Operations to ensure that is it aligned to both the enterprise and regulatory strategies
- Coordinate development of the annual budget, and forward estimates; providing expert advice and support across the EPA
- Support the Financial Accounting team with month-end and year-end activities to ensure financial compliance with statutory requirements including the _Financial Management Act 1994._

**About You**:

- Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or business related discipline and full current membership with CPA Australia or Institute of Chartered Accountants or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in directing and coordinating the activities of a finance team to ensure successful delivery of monthly financial reporting, annual financial statements and annual financial planning and budget process.
- Experience developing a constructive culture within a team that encourages achievement, continuous improvement and delivers a high standard of customer service.
- Relevant experience in corporate and/or strategic business planning and have experience in providing strategic advice to the CEO and Executive team.
