The role

You will work day-to-day with a team of incredible scientists, engineers, operators, and designers who are relentlessly passionate about food and creating a better future for our planet.

The experience you will bring:

- A background in managing production in food or biopharmaceuticals
- Experience in forecasting production needs including production volumes, personnel, equipment capacity and capability
- Experience in implementing food manufacturing and packing line facilities/processes
- Knowledge of Food HACCP plans or Quality Management Systems (ISO9001, ISO13485 or similar)
- Proven track record of improving manufacturing line efficiency, production output, and cost reduction
- Effectively manage a team and co-ordinate day to day factory operations
- Flexibility to carry out shift work/weekend work if required
- Knowledge of brewing, fermentation or bioreactor operations up to at least 2000 L (20 hL) is ideal, but not a must
- Experience in a laboratory setting working is ideal, but not a must

You will;
- Drive continuous manufacturing process; from thawing cells, to large-scale cell culture, to maturation and final harvest
- Manage and mentor our team of Manufacturing Technicians, co-ordinating rosters and process schedules
- Continuously improve and develop Vow’s manufacturing process through automation, quality control systems, and cost reduction
- Ensure our manufacturing process adheres to Vow’s HACCP plan and quality management system
- Meet manufacturing business objectives and consumer demands, including stock levels, COGS, financial budgets, and production timeframes
- Report manufacturing outputs, improvements, and future roadmaps to company leads
- Quickly respond to, and swifty resolve interruptions to production or failed QC batches
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team of engineers, food inventors and product designers to solve manufacturing problems in new ways and to create the most amazing food products the world has ever seen

What success looks like in this role:

- In your first month you will have successfully integrated yourself into Vow’s Manufacturing Team. By the end of the first month you would have created a well oiled production line alongside the Manufacturing Technicians.
- After 3 months you will have implemented multiple process improvements within the Manufacturing pilot plant and achieved necessary production targets for our first product launch in Singapore.
- By the end of your first year at Vow you will have made significant contributions to help the Manufacturing team successfully bring amazing new products to market at a profit. You will have played a key role in transforming our manufacturing factory/s into a non-stop cultured-meat making machine.
