Testing Services Manager

**Testing Services Manager | NSW- North Sydney**

Allianz Technology is seeking a Testing Services Manager to establish a robust, effective Testing Practice by setting the culture, and developing and growing the capabilities of a team of test resources, building strong relationships with internal IT stakeholders and business customers, and ownership of the overall Testing Strategy and Framework, including the adoption of agile methodologies, standards, processes, disciplines, tools, metrics and templates..

This role is reporting to the IT Program and Project Delivery Manager

**The responsibilities**
- Define the overall testing strategy for the organisation and advance the adoption of agile practices through continuous and automated processes to enable continuous and faster delivery of software (CI/CD).
- Advocate the importance of testing amongst senior stakeholders (both business and IT)
- Manage the recruitment and building of all test resources (functional, automation and performance) both on and offshore, also manage testing centre of excellence in Australia and multiple on-site, off-site and offshore vendors.
- Define documentation standards, practices methodologies, processes, disciplines and templates for team members..
- Identify opportunities to improve testing practices and drive their implementation across the team.
- Define and implement quality and productivity goals, measuring and reporting through test metrics.
- Ensure that the test team delivers high quality testing through conducting self and random quality audits (including alignment to test process and that the documentation of adhere to the testing standards and practices and meet the business need
- Track and monitor test delivery on projects, aligning to time, cost and quality requirements.
- Support Proof of Concepts on any new test tools and solutions with suitable business cases.
- Identify appropriate test tools and drive their implementation across the team.
- Manage Department Cost Centre and related budget effectively, Risks and Issues related to the Test Practice

**You should demonstrate**:

- Extensive overall IT experience, including heading up/managing the overall Testing Services function within an organisation, also working in an Agile environment and adopting a ‘Shift Left’ testing approach.
- Significant experience in managing large Portfolios consisting of Functional, Automation and Performance testing for both run and change the business.
- Extensive experience as Portfolio Manager / Senior Test Manager.
- Proven experience of operating in a global delivery model.
- Experience in setting up a testing centre of excellence, implementing test methodologies, test governance, best practices, with a good understanding of varying test strategies and approaches.
- Experience in creating an overarching ’Test Policy Framework’ document and managing cost centre and test suppliers
- Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills and a high attention to quality and detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to manage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, collaboration and exemplary project management skills.
- Domain experience in Banking or Financial services, ideally Insurance.
