The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Performance and Planning Strategic Advisor to provide a critical role within Corrections and Justice Services

About the Role
The Performance and Planning Strategic Adviser holds a key position responsible for regional based Justice Service delivery planning and forms part of the Gippsland Regional Director's office. The role is responsible for high level project management and advice to support the Executive and Regional Director's office, the Gippsland Regional Executive Leadership team and the various Justice Services program areas. The Performance and Planning Strategic Advisor will drive improved service delivery through adopting a strategic approach to planning and co-ordinated service delivery within Justice Services in the Gippsland Area and supporting improved performance through contemporary data analysis.
The role ensures delivery of regional and departmental business objectives; monitors progress against plans; and supports the Regional Director in delivery of key corporate, regional, and departmental priorities and reforms.
The Performance and Planning Strategic Adviser delivers accurate and timely strategic advice to key internal and external stakeholders to support Executive level decision making.

**Some of your duties will include**:

- Assist the Regional Director and regional program areas to deliver high quality services.
- Contribute to the development, implementation and review of the Regions business plans and the ongoing monitoring of progress on actions.
- Prepare high-level authoritative advice for the Regional Executive on complex and sensitive matters, including service delivery outcome performance, corporate policy compliance, business planning and strategic projects.

- Demonstrated experience in project management and planning, regional planning and provision of advice on strategic business issues and risks.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high-level policy advice to Executives and senior leadership teams
- Demonstrated ability to undertake data analysis, performance reporting and data presentation
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement quality and service improvement initiatives.
