Innovation and collaboration drive us to exceed expectations, guided by a whole-of-company mindset. **An Exciting Opportunity Awaits** TEG Life Like Touring is looking for a Deputy Stage Manager to be responsible for assisting with the smooth running of the rehearsal process and assisting to manage the day-to-day operations of the upcoming Australian and New Zealand tours of Peppa Pig’s Fun Day Out LIVE Contract position: Weekly Fee + Per Diems (when away from home base), all accommodation and travel provided. **About TEG Life Like Touring** TEG Life Like Touring has produced hit shows and experiences for some of the world’s most popular entertainment brands for over 10 years, including PAW Patrol, Disney, Pixar, Peppa Pig, Sesame Street, Dora The Explorer, among countless worldwide entertainment brands. TEG Life Like tours and experiences have been enjoyed by millions across Australia, New Zealand, North America, Europe, Africa, South America and the Middle East. **The Role** The Employee shall perform all services customarily rendered by the Deputy Stage Manager of a first-class musical stage play (of the same quality and calibre as a Broadway/West End musical). Without limitation, the following employee duties shall include: - Attendance at rehearsals and rehearsal management. - Operating the Deputy Stage Manager and props backstage track for performances to ensure the smooth running of the Production. - Care for all props before, during, and after each performance, including any required maintenance. - Ensure props are packed carefully to ensure they travel well between venues and to minimise maintenance as a result of travel damage. - Assist with the load in and out of props and set when able to do so. - Maintain communication between cast and crew to ensure any related issues or concerns are always passed onto management and dealt with in a timely manner. - To liaise with Cast and Crew in regard to repair or maintenance of props as required. - Assist with making appropriate paperwork for onstage movements of scenic and prop elements as delegated by the Stage Manager. - Assist with managing the induction of cast into each venue and especially planning for risk management, in conjunction with the Stage Manager, General Manager, and/or Creative Team. - Adherence to Venue OH&S requirements to support the safety of Cast, Crew, and Audience in every circumstance in every venue. - To assist the Stage Manager with cast/crew liaison at any performance regarding any relevant issues/incidents/accidents or near misses arising before, during, or after the performance. - Assist the Stage Manager with reporting any technical, client, or other issues on relevant documentation to report to Life Like Touring any issues that come to the attention of Stage Management that need further input. - Actively participate in matters and activities relating to Health and Safety, including compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and codes of Practice. - Manage, reconcile, and report on Petty Cash. - Assist Company Stage Manager with the running of the company as agreed upon between Producers, Company Stage Manager, and Deputy Stage Manager. - Other duties as directed. Note: Statements included in this job description are intended to reflect in general the duties and responsibilities of this position and are not to be interpreted as exclusive. **Requirements**: **Required Skills**: - Extensive Stage Management and/or Company Management experience, particularly in musical theatre and family entertainment - Exhibit outstanding organisation and communication skills, written and verbal - Demonstrated ability to work with creative and technical personnel and performers - Ability to work under pressure, using tact, diplomacy, and flexibility - Demonstrate a clear understanding of "performance etiquette", including a comprehensive knowledge of theatre traditions, protocol, and terminology - Possess a comprehensive general knowledge of workplace safety procedures and protocols - Highly skilled in the calling of live performance - Experience with QLab playback software - Capable of carrying out manual handling tasks and comfortable working at heights, and able to lift 25kg loads unencumbered - Sound financial management skills, an ability to oversee budgets, keep appropriate records, and reconcile accounts Please note: NB
