**About the role**:
They are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Team Leader, to oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions and support their dealerships. This fantastic opportunity will be supervising the Accounts Team while being hands-on, ensuring that the company is meeting its payment obligations to suppliers in a timely manner. Also making sure that customers are meeting their payment obligations and that direct reports are sufficiently trained.

**Duties of the Role**:

- Ensure sufficient controls are in place to report discrepancies to Group Financial Controller
- Provide feedback to dealership management
- Supervise and contribute to the processing of supplier invoices
- Supervise the Accounts Team
- Ensure payments to suppliers are made in a timely manner
- Supervise and contribute to the addressing of supplier and staff queries
- Ensure all staff processing invoices are coding accurately in accordance with companies requirements
- Ensure invoices that vary from closed purchase orders are approved by department managers
- Ensure vendor maintenance is completed periodically, with a focus on ABN checks
- Monitor changes to vendor files and ensure compliance with company policy
- Reporting to dealerships on purchase order usage
- Any other duties that may be directed including assisting the accounts and administration department

**About you**:

- 3 years minimum experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience using finance systems (ERA software desirable)
- Demonstrated experience to lead and manage a team, delegating, train, mentoring, and working in a self-directed manner, leading by example
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skillset
- High level of organizational skills
- Proven knowledge of standard accounts payable procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Positive, can-do attitude
