The roleReporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for co-ordinating and analysing financial data to ensure compliance with reporting requirements for Retrieval Services Queensland (RSQ). As the Finance Analyst, you will be an integral part of a Business Services Team providing financial and business support services. Key responsibilities of the Finance Analyst include:

- In consultation with management, developing, maintaining and reporting on the RSQ budget.
- Preparing month end general ledger journals (Corrections, Accruals and Prepayments).
- Assisting with the consolidation of reporting requirements (Financial Controls, Delegations, quarterly registers, and Annual Financial Statements).
- Completing reviews of the general ledger to ensure compliance with correct accounting practices.
- Support and assist staff with ad hoc queries, providing solutions and recommendations for business process improvement.

Additionally, you will bring experience in identifying financial improvements which enhance service delivery and the ability to collaborate broadly with effective communication & consultative skills.
Whilst not mandatory, a business or commerce tertiary qualification or membership of a recognised accounting body would be highly regarded.
