- The Manager, Declared Mine Rehabilitation Coordinator (DMRC), is responsible for establishing and leading a new team to deliver complex approvals that support positive rehabilitation outcomes for Latrobe Valley coal mines and surrounding land. The Manager, DMRC promotes and coordinates international best-practice mine closure planning in Victoria by coordinating intergovernmental forums to help Declared Mine licensees meet their rehabilitation obligations, including through the development and approval of Declared Mine Rehabilitation Plans and related approvals.

**Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications**
- A current valid Victorian driver's licence is mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex, sensitive projects while supporting a working culture which promotes accountability, respect, and integrity.
- Demonstrated experience building strategic relationships and proven ability to influence and gain consensus and work collaboratively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong conceptual understanding of mine rehabilitation and are comfortable working with ambiguity and flexibility to anticipate and adapt effectively to competing and sometimes shifting priorities.
- Project management qualification such as PRINCE2 and/or a relevant tertiary qualification would be well regarded.

**This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.**
