Legal & Governance - Multiple Opportunities
1 day ago
**About Us**
Globally, energy markets are in transition to a net zero future and the entities within these markets are transforming their underlying business models to ensure that they stay relevant, sustainable and profitable. As one of Australia’s largest energy providers, we are proud of our purpose to lead and accelerate the clean energy transformation for all.
EnergyAustralia recognises the critical role that our Legal & Governance function will play in shaping the future of our business through this exciting period of transition and, as a result, we are looking to bolster the team with the addition of multiple new roles. These positions provide an opportunity to join a high performing, inclusive, collaborative and highly regarded Legal & Governance team.
See below for our available positions:
**Head of Legal (Disputes & Litigation) - **Strong litigation experience, working with the wider legal team and business to drive EnergyAustralia’s response to private and regulatory investigations, disputes and litigation to optimise outcomes. (24 month contract)
**Legal Manager (Product & Regulation) -** Manage a team supporting product and regulatory requirements for our retail business as well as innovative products and services (such as solar, battery, EVs) in Customer Assets and commercial EV projects with our Green Transport business.
**Legal Manager (Trading & Regulation) -** Manage a team supporting regulatory requirements for wholesale markets, Operations and Projects, and assist with trading matters. Provide legal expertise on AFSL and AML/CTF compliance matters.
**Special Counsel (Energy) -** Provide senior support for the range of activities associated with the development of our energy transition projects, as well as for our existing operational sites
**Legal Counsel (Technology) - **Provide support across the spectrum of areas covered by our Technology business, including cyber security and data related issues
**Manager - Group Customer Compliance -** Manage our specialist Customer Compliance Advisory team who assist with providing regulatory advice to our retail business, working also with the lawyers in the team on more complex matters. (Non-legal position)
As a member of our team, you'll use your expertise to partner with the business, offering clear, actionable advice that enables informed, risk-based decisions. Your role will extend beyond legal compliance — you’ll help assess whether a course of action is not just legal, but whether it is the right thing to do.
**How can you support the Clean Energy Transition**
We value a collaborative approach, where your input will help shape key decisions across all areas of the business. If you’re looking to make a real impact and be part of a team that prioritises adding value and driving governance excellence, EnergyAustralia offers the perfect environment to grow your career.

For all roles:
- Flexibility to handle a diverse range of matters across all business units
