We are Australia’s largest pure-play coal producer generating over $10 billion in Foreign Direct Investment; owning, operating or participating in coal mines across NSW, Queensland and Western Australia. Managed by Yancoal, Premier Coal is the leading coal producer in Western Australia. Operating an open cut coal mine near Collie in the South West of WA, the operation produces coal for the domestic market with contracts to 2030.

As part of the Premier Coal 2026 Apprenticeship Program, you will be offered a 4-year structured program where your participation will allow you to develop into some of the best tradespersons in the resources industry.

**Apprenticeship Disciplines Available**
- AUR31220 Certificate III Mobile Plant Technology (Mobile Plant Equipment) x 3
- MEM31922 Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/welding) x 1
- We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals, who want to embark on the journey of completing a 4-year apprenticeship
- Possess strong communication skills
- Demonstrate the ability to follow instructions and show a willingness to learn
- Show readiness to work in a dynamic team environment
- Commit to completing the qualification within the designated timeframe
- Attend and perform work professionally, adhering to employer requirements
- Take care of workplace property
- Respect the rights of other employees in the workplace

**Eligibility**
- Applicants must have already completed or are due to complete Year 11 in 2025
- Applicants with qualifications higher than secondary school (Year 11 and 12) and who have completed or are currently completing a pre-apprenticeship/pre-vocational course in the
relevant trades are also encouraged to apply.
- Sound written skills
- Ability to complete repetitive tasks
- Possess and maintain a current WA drivers licence (or obtain by July 2026)
- Transportation to and from work
- You will need to be self-motivated and have a mature attitude to complete the required studies
- Live within 70km of Premier Coal Mine
