We seek a Claims Consultant to support claims within a specialist health and injury team to join a well-known specialist insurer for an initial 12-month contract with the opportunity to turn permanent.

Our client is looking for someone with experience within health insurance, health claims, or the wider health industry with a good understanding of medical terminology and looking to work in a small, supportive team.

Make an impact and support claimants through the claims journey who have experienced an injury sustained within the education sector using your excellent customer service & empathy skills.

Enjoy the flexibility of hybrid working with a minimum of one day in the office located in Melbourne CBD

**The role**:

- Manage a portfolio of low complex - high volume accident and health claims
- Perform claims service and administration support tasks and ensure claims standards are met
- Maintain electronic & physical filing systems as per claims process and procedures
- Answer telephone, escalating queries accordingly and assisting with the completion of claims

**About you**:

- Previous experience in health claims is highly regarded, and background in a medical support role such as call centre or medical receptionist regards
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- The key to success in this role is to have a positive attitude
- Exceptional relationship-building, interpersonal and customer service skills
