**The Role**
We are seeking people who are passionate, innovative and results focused, to take up various roles across the Branch.

The roles require individuals with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, a drive for continuous improvement and a demonstrated ability to achieve outcomes across a range of disciplines.

We want to hear from you, if you are experienced in any of the following areas:

- Project / program management, to support the delivery of projects and programs delivered within the Branch.
- Contract, procurement, financial and data management, to provide advice and support to the delivery of projects and programs within the Branch.
- Administration professionals who are flexible to assist with a range of activities including secretariat support, payment processing, diary management and written reports or briefs.
- Environment management, to support the delivery of diverse projects across the Defence Estate.
- Communications professionals, to develop communication material including written correspondence and reporting.

**About our Team**
Environment and Engineering Branch is accountable for the delivery of the Defence Environmental Strategy.

Functions include:

- Providing technical policy and advice on all types of chemical and material hazards including Explosive Ordnance and wartime remnants.
- Managing national programs of contamination identification and remediation including per fluoro octane sulfonate (PFOS) and per fluoro octanoic acid (PFOA).
- Providing advice and support to infrastructure projects, Defence personnel and communities on environmental management.
- External environmental approvals of Defence activities and projects.
- Policy lead for energy, water, waste, climate adaptation and mitigation, and sustainability and provide technical advice and sustainability focused performance solutions for all infrastructure projects.
- Policy lead for land management, heritage, pollution prevention, bushfire management and biodiversity.

- An ability to provide sound advice, complete tasks in accordance with set timeframes and monitor work flow.

- The ability to work collaboratively to maintain stakeholder relationships, contribute new ideas and identify opportunities to improve business processes.
