As the Production Manager, you will have worked on live events and, preferably, large scale activations, and conferences. You will play an important role with clients, developing production and technical solutions for a broad portfolio of events (experiential, virtual, IRL) and experiences for a range of audiences all over the world. You will work as an integrated member of the team, collaborating closely with colleagues in client service, strategy and production.

You are experienced in production, custom build, fabrication and technical including AV, lighting, spatial design and related disciplines. You are motivated and are passionate about researching and developing concepts to further push the boundaries of what is possible in the world of event production.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Set up and undertake comprehensive site inspections (often accompanying clients).
- Prepare written proposals for pitch documents.
- Ability and skill to interpret creative and design direction into a production reality.
- Willingness and passion to contribute to winning creative pitches.
- Lead the team to ensure flawless delivery of all projects, providing cutting-edge production and technical solutions.
- Source, brief and manage all production and technical suppliers and leverage relationships to maximise value and outcomes.
- Draft floorplans, technical plans/ production drawings to support the design, production and technical delivery - drafting experience in Vectorworks or CAD is imperative.
- Develop, drive and meet production timelines and scheduling.
- Work with creative production to achieve the best possible results within the available budget.
- Budget control/management. To deliver to agreed financial targets and enhance margin.
- Monitor construction of set items, including all mechanical staging elements, to ensure smooth running on site.
- Oversee all technical elements on site, including onsite production and technical delivery, bump out and management of on-site crew and personnel.
- Continually review network of suppliers and crew to ensure the best possible service is always achieved.
- Manage and mentor junior level production managers / freelancers on larger projects.
- Skilled and effective supplier negotiation to secure the most favourable rates for clients.
- Develop and nurture on-going relationships with clients.
- Ensure quality standards are adhered to including all health and safety and fire regulations both internally and on site, to ensure the utmost safety of all personnel.
- Research and identify Australian based suppliers specific to the technical/build industry.

- You are up-to-date with Customs regulations for the transportation of technical equipment overseas.
- You keep up-to-date with the event/creative/media industry.
- You have at least four years’ experience as a production manager and/or experience in a related field.
