**About the Role**

Electorate Officers play an important role in providing services to the Victorian community. Reporting to Ryan Batchelor, Member for Southern Metropolitan, your work will require a high degree of trust and integrity. Confidentiality is also a key requirement when interacting with constituents and visitors to the office or in the community.

Based in Ryan Batchelor's electorate office, you will interact daily with constituents, community organisations and other stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:

- Constituent casework
- Provide impactful materials to enhance community engagement initiatives
- Stakeholder engagement
- Administrative work
- Electorate communications support

The role of an Electorate Officer requires you to demonstrate:

- Excellent computer skills with experience in MS suite of software and online editing tools, including Adobe Suite (Photoshop and Premiere Pro) and Canva.
- Creating content including graphics, photos and videos for the Member's website and social media platforms.
- Prepare written responses to constituents on behalf of the Member on a diverse range of matters of varying complexity in a reasonable timeframe.
- Achieve positive outcomes for constituents through appropriate advocacy and representation.
- Plan, coordinate and oversee the operation of large public events, functions, and meetings.
- Organising and developing community engagement initiatives.
- Sound written and oral communication skills with a proven ability to undertake research and prepare written materials including reports, submissions, and correspondence.
- Commitment and ability to provide the highest level of client service in a challenging environment, providing sound advice and maintaining the strictest confidence on all issues.
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders from government and peak organisations to local community organisations and constituents.
- Behaviours consistent with Electorate Officer values and Code of Conduct, including the ability to display high levels of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, and respect in relationships with others and decision making.

**Salary and Job Type**

Electorate Officer salaries are set out in the _Electorate Officers (Victoria) Single Enterprise Agreement 2021._

Grade 2: $83,469 per annum plus 11.5% employer superannuation (full-time Electorate Officers will receive a pro-rated salary).

This is an ongoing, full-time position. A six-month probationary period will apply.
