We are seeking a talented Communication Advisor to help drive the delivery on an exciting communication program for our work across our Manufacturing Business Unit. As the Manufacturing Communication Advisor you will leverage your expertise and knowledge to help support the development and delivery of communications activities which are aligned with CSIRO’s Corporate Affairs and Manufacturing Business Unit strategies.

Focusing on CSIRO’s work with industry partners across a large variety of science and technology, you will deliver a range of activities including writing media releases, blogs, creating digital and social media content, writing web content, assisting with event management, drafting communication plans and managing media. Overall, this role will help the Manufacturing Business Unit identify and engage stakeholders and communicate about a range of projects which showcase CSIRO’s brand.

This is a diverse role and you’ll develop and execute strategic communication plans, driving opportunities for our scientists through new business. As the Communications Advisor, you’ll contribute to ensuring CSIRO’s brand is relevant, engaging, and accessible. You possess strong interpersonal skills, which sees you easily build and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders across the business. Your natural curiosity in wanting to bring information and events to life coupled with your ability to work in an environment which is fast-paced and changeable will see you well placed to join the team.

**Your duties will include**:

- Contributing to the development and delivery of integrated communication plans leveraging media relations, digital and social content and marketing communications to build and protect the CSIRO brand with a focus on ensuring we are relevant, engaging and accessible.
- Establishing and maintaining trusted advisor relationships with researchers, project partners and other stakeholders to deliver on key CSIRO priorities.
- Tracking communications and engagement campaigns and then reporting on outcomes, sharing learnings with the wider team.
- Liaising with media to identify and develop compelling stories about the Manufacturing Business Unit’s projects.
- Engaging with the broader Corporate Affairs team to help support the promotion of projects across digital and social media channels.
- Assisting the Communication Manager with the identification and management of issues, as required.
- Other duties, as directed.

**Salary**:AU$87k - AU$98k plus up to 15.4% superannuation

**Tenure**:Indefinite, Full-time

**To be considered you will need**:

- A relevant tertiary qualification and relevant experience in communications - PR, marketing, digital, media or journalism.
- Experience delivering integrated communication plans across traditional media, digital and social media channels.
- A history of demonstrated professional and respectful behaviours and attitudes in a collaborative environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and to show attention to detail and quality focus.
- Be a team player with an ability to work collaboratively and autonomously.
