Join Zurich as our Digital Portfolio Proposition Specialist and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of insurance for Australia’s SME sector. As we accelerate our technology transformation, you’ll be at the forefront of developing and managing innovative digital insurance solutions, driving our ambition to become Australia’s Leading Digital Insurer. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll leverage customer insights, market trends, and digital platforms to create propositions that attract and retain profitable customers, ensuring Zurich remains ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

This newly created role offers the opportunity to influence Zurich’s digital portfolio strategy, optimise underwriting efficiency, and deliver solutions that truly put the customer at the centre. You’ll be empowered to drive change, collaborate across teams, and help realise our digital north star vision.

You will also be responsible for the following:

- Developing and managing business requirements for new digital insurance solutions tailored to the SME market.
- Analysing customer behaviours, market developments, and competitor propositions to inform innovative product strategies.
- Collaborating with underwriting, product, and platform teams to create and communicate compelling portfolio propositions.
- Preparing business cases and evaluating market opportunities to support investment in digital solutions.
- Implementing and optimising digital underwriting processes and business rules to enhance broker and customer experience.
- Monitoring and managing portfolio performance, leveraging data and insights to maximise profitability and mitigate underperformance.

This is a 6 month fixed term contract, with the potential to be extended or converted to permanent should the role become available.

We’re seeking a strategic, innovative thinker with a passion for digital transformation and customer-centric solutions. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, bringing strong commercial acumen and the ability to drive change across teams.

In order to be successful, you will have the following:

- Proven experience in commercial underwriting, ideally with exposure to digital product development and SME insurance.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret market, customer, and competitor data to inform strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and influence senior stakeholders to deliver business outcomes.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills, with a track record of delivering change in complex environments.
- High level of knowledge of regulatory, legal, and corporate governance issues affecting insurance products and practices.
- Degree-level qualifications in business, insurance, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience.
