Financial Crime Data Analyst

**How will I help?**
The Financial Crime Analytics and Reporting team develops, supports, and maintains SAS programs and automated procedures that provide insights and controls around the different areas of Financial Crime. This includes, but not limited to, Customer Risk, Enterprise Risk and Bank’s Regulatory Reporting obligations.
As the Financial Crime Data Analyst your role will be to Identify the data needs, develop SAS scripts, and implement automated routines to transform and analyse data.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Extract, validate, transform, and load data from multiple sources. Utilise data warehouse, big data platform and other data sources available in the group to provide efficient and effective analytics for the broader Financial Crime group’s information needs.
- Support efficient and effective metrics and reporting for stakeholders
- Support, maintain and enhance existing systems and controls owned by the team
- Pro-actively manage data quality issues as they arise
- Assist on the provision of data, analysis and forecasting required for improved decision making within Group Financial Crime Compliance.
- Adherence to change management protocols and keep control documentation up to date.
- Maintain engagement with various Financial Crime teams and utilise ongoing feedback to improve system and reporting performance.

**What do I need?**
An ability to review and summarise complex information and to utilize data warehouse, big data platform and other data sources available in the group to build and deliver useful information required by the business and to maintain and enhance the analytics infrastructure.
Tertiary qualifications in an analytics discipline such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics.
Strong stakeholder management and communications skills to enable engagement with the broader Financial Crime team for continuous improvement of the team’s existing reports and deliverables with an understanding of Financial Crime will see you succeed in this role.
