Due to consistent demand in our inspection services, we are seeking an enthusiastic and driven
individual to join our team as Trainee Quality Assurance Building Assessor.
As a Trainee Building Assessor, you will undertake independent building inspections of new homes,
complete daily inspection reports, liaise with clients, builders and building supervisors. During this
Builder's licence (ideally DB-U) with the Victorian Building Authority. Once Registration is achieved,
you will progress to a full-time ongoing position as a Quality Assurance Building Assessor.
This position offers flexibility in managing your own schedule, while demanding dedication, in-depth
knowledge and a facts-based approach at all times to achieve the best outcome for our clients.
Our Assessors enjoy doing ‘good’ for clients and the industry, feel less stressed as the phone is not
constantly ringing and regularly receive positive feedback and appreciation from clients and our
supportive team.
We will invest in ongoing training as required to further develop your skills, and ensure you are an
appreciating asset to our company.
About You
You are passionate about quality construction.
You may be working as a Building Supervisor and tired of the stress of schedule sub-contractors and
suppliers, or currently working on the tools with 6+ years of experience in the construction industry.
You have a positive, proactive approach, experience working with multiple trades within residential
construction and extensive knowledge of the NCC, Australian Standards and the VBA’s Guide to
Standards and Tolerances. You are an efficient self-starter, a team player and results driven. You will
play an integral part in the delivery of exceptional client service and ensure that all priorities are met
in a timely manner.
You will be provided with the opportunity to learn a diverse range of functions and continually
progress your career. No two days in construction are the same, so you need to be capable of
managing a busy schedule and adapting to changing priorities, while still dealing with the day-to-day
tasks.
You have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to take control, show
initiative and work well autonomously and as a part of a team. You are focused and eager to take
your career to the next level.
