**Your new role**:

- Develop, implement and maintain safety policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Provide safety training to employees, including driver training, WHS training, and first aid training.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Review and update existing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with changing regulations and standards.
- Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility laws and regulations.
- Monitor and track employee compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all safety and compliance activities.

**Skills and Experience**:

- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role in the transport industry.
- Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Experience in developing and implementing safety and training programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is desirable.
