Site Surveillance Officer

**About the position**

The Site Surveillance Officer provides surveillance activities on construction and works sites for Council’s managers and project managers. Including surveillance of technical, work health, and safety, environmental, quality systems, and project site requirements in contract management, and assisting the Project Coordinator to coordinate resources in a proactive, cost-effective, and efficient manner.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Undertake surveillance and frontline contract administration of contractors
- Assist project managers in the assessment of contract documentation, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), Environmental Management Plans (EMP), Traffic Management Plans (TMP), Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS), contractor’s work method statements and proposed corrective actions.
- Assist the Project Coordinator in planning programs of surveillance for work, health and safety
management, quality, and contracts.
- Monitor the progress of works, identify non-conformance issues, and advise respective managers and project managers.
- Ensure construction site, works activities of contractors, provide public safety, and minimise inconvenience.
- Conduct safety and environmental management risk assessments.

**About you**
- General construction induction card (white card)
- SafeWork NSW Traffic Control Work Training (TCWT) card - Prepare a work zone traffic management plan.
- Cert IV in Work Health and Safety, or equivalent, with demonstrated experience.
- Certificate IV in Civil Construction (Supervision) (desirable)
- Demonstrated experience and/or capability to deliver the Job Specific Key Accountabilities (outlined in the Position Description).
- Demonstrated [Developed] key capabilities as defined in the Key Capabilities Table (outlined in the Position Description).

**What we offer**
- **Temporary full time**, 35 hours per week, Term Contract for a period of up to 4 years
- Salary from $_71,445_ to $_77,096_ per year (depending on qualifications, skills and experience) plus 12% superannuation
