**About the role**
Due to an internal promotion, our Hydraulics Workshop is looking for a Planner
Based at Tomago, our Hydraulics Workshop cater to a long list of internal and external customers across NSW & ACT. With Fitter Machinists, Plant Mechanics, Trades Assistants and Support Staff, the workshop offers servicing, repairs and maintenance on hydraulic components from an array of Caterpillar machines.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, our Hydraulics Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed and accurate execution plans to maximise available resources, ensuring all components are delivered in line with the required maintenance strategy and agreed timelines.
Utilising data and planning tools, this role will see you analysing and tracking scheduled workloads, highlighting the optimisation of available resources to ensure maximum productivity of the workshop. You will also be responsible for maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding job requirements, parts requirements, and status updates.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Responsible for using proactive methods of data collection, analysis and tracking to schedule and plan work volumes in accordance with resources and agreed timeframes
- Provide a superior level of service to internal and external stakeholders through communication of customer requirements to the workshop, and status updates to customers
- Support the Branch Manager and relevant Supervisors through scheduling and demand planning reports to ensure variations of work can be managed effectively
- Actively identify process improvements and recommend necessary actions to promote a continuous improvement culture
- Assist in parts forecasting process with the Strategy team and Parts inventory team
**Skills & Experience**
- Practical experience in mobile equipment maintenance planning and scheduling
- Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and interpersonal
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyse information and identify continuous improvement initiatives
- Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities to achieve tight deadlines
- Demonstrated highly developed customer service skills
- Mechanical Trade Qualification and previous experience with maintenance management for heavy mobile equipment (Desirable)
