**About the Role**
monitoring of environmental factors around site. The role is integral in ensuring Talison meets its statutory and
regulatory environmental obligations. A core function of the role will be the sampling of surface and ground waters
and associated data management. This role will also be required to assist with sampling and monitoring of dust and
noise stressors as required. The role will also support reporting obligations within the broader environment team
as required.

**Responsibilities include**:

- carry out sampling of surface and ground waters;
- complete data entry of water quality results;
- liaise with external laboratories;
- ensure all monitoring equipment is maintained and calibrated;
- assist Environmental Officers with additional sampling as directed;
- participate in collecting data for environmental reports as required;
- ensure deadlines are met and customer relationships are maintained;
- ensure all company equipment and assets within your span of control are maintained in a clean and

serviceable manner;
- ensure knowledge of, and actively comply with site policies and procedures;
- use PPE as determined by the hazard;
- participate in training as per role requirements; and
- maintain a focus on daily housekeeping of work areas.
- progress towards an undergraduate degree in earth, agricultural or environmental sciences; or
- progress towards a Certificate / Diploma in Conservation and Land Management or equivalent;
- ability to work autonomously in the field for extended periods of time;
- ability to adapt to a changing work environment; and
- proficient in Office suite software (excel, word, powerpoint).

**Optional/preferred**
- minimum 2 years industry experience; and
- experience in monitoring of surface and ground waters and operating sampling equipment.***

**Competencies**

The incumbent should have the following competencies:

- Current ‘C’ class Drivers Licence.
