**The Role**

Our client is currently seeking a Governance Officer for an extensive and exciting government project. The Governance Officer will provide senior executive level secretariat support, reporting, coordination and distribution activities for the Delivery Authority's reporting and governance activities. The position forms part of the Program Delivery Executive Services team and reports directly to the Program Governance Manager. Responsibilities include:

- Corporate governance including preparation of briefing notes, agendas, meeting minutes, presentations, memoranda, and submissions relating to key activities undertaken by the program delivery
- Supporting the Governance & Reporting team with the preparation of monthly executive reporting
- Assisting with identifying and developing improved governance and reporting processes and procedures within the Delivery Authority
- Providing coordination, secretariat, and reporting requirements for several of the Delivery Authority's key Governance bodies
- Support the Governance Manager with policy updates and updated governance documentation where required.

**You**
- Knowledge and experience in providing secretariat support to several governance entities or management forums
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to liaise with stakeholders regarding reporting requirements
- Ability to analyse and consolidate stakeholder input and data into reporting and presentation formats
- Previous experience with supporting and a sound understanding of contemporary governance practices in the public sector will be highly regarded
- Experience working on infrastructure projects would be well considered
- High level experience using Microsoft Office suite
- Experience using document management sharing tools would be well considered.
