**BUYING ASSISTANT REQUIRED IMMEDIATE START FOR THE RIGHT APPLICANT**

We are a family owned Discount Variety business currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyers Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a Buyers Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our buyer in managing our vast range of merchandise. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our business and gain valuable experience in the retail industry.

**Key Responsibility of this position**
- Assist in the development and maintenance of vendor relationships.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchase orders, invoices, and inventory levels.
- Maintain accuracy of inventory database.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize stockouts.
- Coordinate with various departments, such as logistics and warehousing, to ensure timely delivery and efficient stock management.
- Assist in the creation and analysis of sales reports, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
- Support the buyers in product assortment planning, including product categorization, pricing, and promotions.
- Stay updated on industry developments, market trends, and emerging products.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and organizing documents.

**Knowledge/Skills Required**
- Previous experience in a retail environment, or in an administrative support role is desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong accuracy and efficiency in data entry.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with vendors, team members and store network
- Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic small team environment.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25-30 per week

**Salary**: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
