We are looking for someone with experience in fire & safety to join our team to provide experience-based Emergency Procedures Training to facilities & businesses.

Position: Trainer/Assessor - VET
UNITS FROM THE PUAFER005 TRAINING PACKAGE
Please note you will also be providing training in the below units. It is not required to already have completed the below units as we will put you throught this training.
- PUAFER001 Identify, prevent and report potential facility emergency situations
- PUAFER002 Ensure facility emergency prevention procedures, systems and processes are implemented
- PUAFER004 Respond to facility emergencies
- PUAFER005 Operate as part of an emergency control organisation
- PUAFER006 Lead an emergency control organisation
- PUAFER008 Confine small emergencies in facilities
- Non accredited emergency based training based of Australian standard AS3745 & AS4083.

Location: Brookvale/ multiple locations for delivery of units & training

Travel Required: Licence required

Compliance Required:National Police Check, TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Proof of legal entitlement to work in Australia (if applicable) or NSW Licence

REMUNERATION:Wages will be negotiated commensurate with experience and qualifications. Includes access to salary packaging provisions. Superannuation is paid at the Superannuation Guarantee rate if permanent position is filled.

Position Type: Permanent Part time, Casual or contracted (to be negotiated)

Availability will be discussed at initial interview. We are flexible with availability.

Will Train Applicant(s): Will train applicants with various backgrounds and knowledge

Position Objective:The primary responsibility of the Trainer/Assessor is to develop, prepare, deliver, assess and evaluate qualifications whilst ensuring that contractual and compliance requirements for the delivery of programs are met in accordance with the RTO Standards 2015.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Deliver structured, flexible, relevant and interesting training sessions and assist all learners regardless of level to achieve their training goals.
- Ensure all training resources are current and are compliant with the RTO and RTO Standards 2015.
- Develop, implement, and maintain individual training plans to meet the individuals learning style and level of skills and knowledge.
- Prepare for, conduct and document both training delivery and assessment procedures, using approved recourses.
- Complete and maintain all training records accurately, document assessment results and submit to the appropriate Manager.
- Evaluate the training program, retaining written feedback for review and discussion with the appropriate Manager.
- In conjunction with the appropriate Manager, resolve any complaints or incidents in accordance with company grievance procedures, documenting incidents and outcomes.
- Participate in moderation/validation sessions as required.
- Report to and inform the appropriate Manager in regard to student welfare, student attendance and course progress.
- Participate in internal and external contractual audits required by the Federal and State Training Authorities and undertake follow up actions as required with the appropriate Manager.
- Keep abreast of rules and regulations and accreditation procedures for the appropriate industry.
- Maintain currency of qualifications and relevant industry experience
- Develop and maintain employment, education and further training networks.
- RTO Office Administration and client liaison as needed
- **Current Industry Experience in the Public safety sector (including current or previous service of NSW Fire & rescue, defense force or NSW police force)**_ _is preferred but not necessary._
