We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our community support team and help us continue delivering high-quality services across WESTERN SYDNEY and SOUTH WEST SYDNEY.

Position Overview:
The Roastering manager will play a vital role of being responsible for planning, scheduling, and overseeing staff work rosters. Their main goal is to ensure optimal workforce allocation, balancing employee availability, operational demands, and labor costs

Reports to: Summer Alipor

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develops staff rosters that meet business needs while adhering to labor laws, company policies, and employee preferences.
- Ensures sufficient coverage for all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Takes into account factors such as employee skill sets, seniority, and role-specific requirements.
- Ensures rosters comply with workplace agreements, regulations, and industry-specific rules.
- Monitors compliance with minimum rest periods, maximum working hours, and overtime limits.
- Coordinates with staff to track and manage their availability, including requests for leave, shift swaps, and absences.
- Approves or denies requests based on operational requirements.
- Communicates finalized rosters to staff in a timely manner.
- Provides updates on any changes to the roster (e.g., due to last-minute absences or operational changes).
- Balances the number of staff assigned per shift to avoid over
- or under-staffing.
- Analyzes historical data to forecast staffing needs and adjust rosters accordingly.
- Monitors attendance and records instances of tardiness or absenteeism.
- Prepares reports on staff performance, overtime, and labor costs for management.
- Addresses any disputes or grievances related to rostering and scheduling.
- Provides support and mediation for conflicts arising from shift allocations or staff availability.
- Utilizes rostering or workforce management software to streamline scheduling.
- Ensures the accuracy of data entered into the system, such as employee roles, availability, and shift preferences.
- Trains staff on roster-related procedures and the use of scheduling systems.
- Provides coaching to supervisors on how to manage last-minute changes or emergencies.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Work, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a community services environment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in office software and data management systems.
- Experience in cleaning management and rostering is a bonus.
