**ORIENTATION & MOBILITY SPECIALIST**
**SYDNEY NSW (FULL TIME OR PART TIME)**

**Role Details**:
As an Orientation and Mobility Specialist you will support people with low vision or blindness to achieve their goals related to moving through home and community environments.

You will support clients with different levels of vision, including:

- People with a recent change in vision
- People with long standing low vision
- People with a change in vision after a major neurological even
- Adult Mobility
- Children’s Mobility Service (from birth to young adults up to age 18)
- Guide Dog Mobility
- Neurological Vision Services

**Selection Criteria**:
- Tertiary qualification in Orientation and Mobility or equivalent.
- COMS qualification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team, as well as independently.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills.
- Attention to detail, and skills in analysis, planning and problem solving.
- Ability to be flexible, adapt to varying workloads, and to effectively manage multiple tasks.
- Confirmed “Working With Children Check” and/or “Working with Vulnerable People Check” (or willingness to complete).
- Able to manage the physical demands and inherent requirements of the job.
