**The Company**
Our client is an agricultural technology company on a mission to transform food and farming practices with scalable digital technology. They use real time data and AI technology to solve real challenges at farm level and throughout the food chain. By accurately forecasting yield, customers can optimize their supply chain to get the best prices, drive profits and sustainability while reducing food waste. Backed by major investors and industry partners, their team of data scientists and engineers formulated a predictive model and platform, expressed in easy to use apps. This is used by on farm operations teams to understand and forecast irrigation, feeding, plant protection, and harvest to get the best yields. Large corporate growers and agronomists are assisted to make the right decision at the right time, in specialty horticultural crops, adjusting for local weather conditions.
**The Role**
In this newly created role reporting to Head of Sales and Customer Success, the Account Manager - Digital Agronomy will grow relationships with existing corporate fruit and vegetable customers, taking ownership of day-to-day management in both Australia and New Zealand. This involves working closely with their infield customers, focusing on agronomy solutions, to enable full utilization, sharing the benefits of the digital platform app.
**The Person**
To be successful in this customer facing role you will ideally have the following key skills and attributes:
- History of Account Management dealing with commercial corporate clients
- High level relationship building listening and communication skills
- Experience operating in horticulture or the food systems of viticulture, tree and row crops
- Exposure to Agtech, preferably with an understanding of software and data science
- Knowledge of agronomy
- Suitable qualifications such as Agricultural Science or similar
You will be travelling extensively, mainly through SA, VIC and NSW. There is a supportive and flexible working environment providing the tools required to work effectively and remotely. A generous salary package is on offer.
