Key activities may include:
- Lead and comply with EHS & Quality requirements in accordance with Wabtec policy and procedures.- Conduct, support and coordinate internal and external audits and prepare audit reports that are clear and concise.- Must be able to confirm the sufficiency and appropriateness of audit evidence to support audit findings and conclusions.- Conduct Problem investigations using Root Cause Analysis (8D methodology) and working collaboratively with the team to identify and implement corrective actions.- Conduct First Article Inspection/Part Approvals and using standard measurement practices.- Address non-conformance reports (NCR's) to drive and facilitate Corrective & Preventative actions.- Creation of Quality defect/punch list and tracking closure of all items. To ensure all products are free from defects, meeting the customer's expectations before it leaves the manufacturing facility.- Interpret customer contracts, specifications, engineering drawings, standards, code of practices.- Proficient in technical document writing (reports, procedures, instructions, work standards, process mapping).- Interface with internal Departments, Customers and Suppliers in order to resolve issues and achieve customer satisfaction.- Implementation and maintenance of management programs and systems.- Data analysis and trend identification and taking relevant improvement action.- Tracking of Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).- Creation, modification and recording of Inspection & Test Plans (ITP)/ Control Plans.- Training and assessment of new and existing employees and monitoring of training gaps.- Commitment and participation in the Environmental Health and Safety System.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS- Three years of experience in a similar role required.- Experience following Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) is desirable- ISO Lead Auditor Qualification highly desirable- ISO 9001- experience required; AS4801 and ISO14001- advantageous.- Rail Industry or Automotive experience highly desirable.-
- Experience implementing 5S is desirable.- The ability to maintain confidentiality.- High level of attention to detail and the ability to communicate any discrepancies.- Effective organisational, time management, multi-tasking and communication skills.- Strong team attitude and willingness to drive collaboration.- Experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders to drive a common outcome.- Experience in Process Engineering preferable.- High competency level with Microsoft Office.- Current Driver’s license.
