We're looking for a skilled Leading Hand Fabricator/Welder to join our team. This full-time role offers long-term career progression, leadership responsibilities, and a safety-first environment.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and mentor a team of welders, fabricators and apprentices
  • Oversee workshop operations and project delivery (including allocation of daily tasks)
  • Provide hands on support in heavy fabrication and welding
  • Perform welding and interpret fabrication drawings (FCAW, MIG, MMAW)
  • Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Coordinate logistics and assist with site scopes as needed
  • Collaborate with the Workshop Supervisor to meet deadlines and quality expectations

What You'll Bring

  • Australian recognised trade certification in Fabrication/Boilermaking
  • Proven welding/fabrication experience
  • Experience in trailer, truck body or heavy equipment manufacturing
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to guide and motivate a team
  • Safety-focused mindset and knowledge of high-risk equipment legislation
  • Ability to pass weld tests and read/develop drawings
