**Elan** is seeking a diligent and physically fit individual to join our team as a Leading Hand. This position involves supervising General Hands ensuring all aspects of manufacturing are executed efficiently. The Leading Hand is crucial in maintaining our high-quality standards while prioritising safety.
- Lead by example and competently performs all duties as required by the Site Unit Manager.
- Provide a pleasant and efficient service to all customers onsite.
- Supervise, train, and induct team members within designated work areas in all internal and external policies and procedures.
- Assist in the counting and categorising of waste tyres for invoicing purposes
- Skilled use of large machinery. (Training will be provided)
- Thoroughly understand and implement quality control techniques and ensure customer specifications are met.
- Ensure that that area of responsibility is properly organised and productivity and performance criteria are met.
- Identify opportunities to improve performance and productivity in designated work areas.
- Ensure team members receive/adhere to breaks and rosters.
- Demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills.
- Implement directions given by the management.
- Perform administrative and reporting duties as required.
- 3 Years proven experience in a similar role or in a manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as required.
- Hold a valid and clean driver’s license (C Class minimum)
- Work rights in Australia

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Leading Hand: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Full Driver Licence (preferred)
