Administrator and Scheduler

We are seeking a confident and experienced administrator and scheduler to join us at our Lawnton office to cover paternity leave for a period of 12 months (one year), with possible extension. You will be working closely with our team of Maintenance Carpenters to ensure the successful allocation and completion of all job activities - including financial, quality and safety expectations. You will also be responsible for supporting customer relationships and other members of our Maintenance Team.
Established in 1981, J&D Contracting is a quality accredited Brisbane based company providing a complete range of building maintenance and disability services for government and private sector clients throughout Queensland.
**What you’ll be doing**:
- Work closely with the Maintenance Manager, Service Supervisor, other administrative and Trade employees to ensure the smooth running of works
- Job creation and set up in simPRO
- Issuing purchase orders to suppliers
- Preparation of sale invoices
- Following up to ensure all certifications are received
- Keep customers updated and satisfied through having a good understanding of their needs and requirements for the job
- Proactively participate in meetings to ensure desirable outcomes are reached
- Identifying areas of potential improvement in order to further develop the integrity of the Service Team
- Ensuring employees and sub-contractors are aligned with OH&S obligations

You’ve worked in a similar industry and team before and have the confidence to hit the ground running in this role. Your priority is getting the job done efficiently and effectively, ensuring constant improvement in your skills.
The successful applicant will have:
- Experience in an administration role within the construction industry
- Experience using simPRO (preferred)
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records and database management skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to adapt and remain flexible
- Willingness to learn and grow on the job, your priority is always improving
