The Role _**
At Infin8care, our Kitchen Assistants play a key role, working closely with and supported by the Chef.
You will be responsible for ensuring nutritional food is prepared and delivered to residents in a professional manner. Understanding that food is stored in a safe, hygienic environment and rotated to for use within time limits. Further tasks included are cleaning of servery area, kitchen, dining room and all related equipment.
The ability to “think on your feet”, communicate, build rapport and maintain professional relationships with residents and co-workers is essential. As is the desire to make the most of the personal and professional development opportunities we offer.
**_ About You_**
Compassionate, with a customer service mindset, you are a strong communicator and problem solver who ‘thinks on your feet’, builds supportive relationships, and strives for the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
At Infin8care, we hire on attitude and aptitude, so you **DO NOT** need experience in the aged care sector, you do however need to be aligned with our philosophy and values have strong communication skills, be computer literate and a commitment to resident wellbeing as well as the following,
- Have a Certificate II in food preparation OR demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Are comfortable working in a fast paced busy kitchen.
- Have excellent time management, organisational and leadership skills.
- Are a strong communicator who is committed to high standards of customer service.
- Proactive and measured attitude to identifying & preventing safety hazards in the workplace
- Adopt a safety-first approach to daily tasks and supporting colleagues at all times
- Commitment to attend safety specific training and upskilling sessions paid by the company
- Willingness to come up with safety ideas that improve awareness, hazard reduction and incident reporting
