Permanent Kitchenhand | Catering Assistant Role | Gold Coast

HillView Care is a boutique residential aged care provider with homes in Ashmore and Merrimac, offering low, high, and dementia-specific care. We’re currently looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused **Kitchenhand** to join our fabulous catering team at our **Ashmore facility**

If you love working in a team, enjoy being organised and hands-on, and take pride in making mealtimes meaningful, this could be your perfect role.

This is a **permanent part-time position**, working the **afternoon shift from 3:00pm to 7:00pm**. You’ll be helping to bring comfort and care to residents during one of the most important parts of their day — dinner time.

As our Kitchenhand, you’ll support our Catering Manager and Chefs in delivering nutritious, high-quality meals to our residents — all served with care, dignity, and a personal touch. From preparing ingredients to keeping our kitchen humming smoothly, you’ll be a vital part of the HillView family.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist with food preparation and plating meals for residents
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food service areas
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and infection control practices
- Assist with kitchen stock control and organisation
- Provide friendly, customer-focused service during mealtimes
- Work collaboratively with chefs, catering staff, and care teams

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Previous experience in a kitchen or aged care setting (preferred but not essential)
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and infection control
- A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable, efficient, and great under pressure
- Good communication skills
- Current Police Clearance
- Certificate III in Individual Support or relevant training is a bonus
