Work with a Professional Team With Opportunity to Advance The Opportunity: We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Aluminium Boat Builder (Fabricator) to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the creation of exceptional aluminium boats while enjoying a consistent Monday to Friday work schedule that supports a great lifestyle here in sunny Perth. Key Responsibilities: Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to accurately fabricate aluminium boat components and structures. Perform all aspects of aluminium fabrication, including cutting, shaping, welding (primarily MIG and TIG), grinding, and finishing to a high standard. Assemble and fit fabricated parts to construct hulls, decks, cabins, and other boat structures. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and quality standards. Maintain and operate workshop equipment and tools effectively and safely. Collaborate effectively with other team members, including designers, engineers, and other tradespeople. Contribute to problem-solving and process improvement initiatives. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Potentially assist with other boat building tasks as required. Skills and Experience: Proven 5 year experience as an Aluminium Boat Builder or Fabricator, preferably with experience in constructing vessels under 12 meters. Strong proficiency in aluminium welding techniques (MIG and TIG essential). Excellent ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Competent in the use of various fabrication tools and equipment, including guillotines, press brakes, rollers, and grinders. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A strong commitment to safety in the workplace. Relevant trade qualifications (e.g., Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication Trade or similar) are highly desirable.
